My Husband – my Hero – my Best Friend
What can I say.
He is wonderful, supportive, caring, he has been my rock.
Both of the men in my life have been here for me every step of the way.
I am a very lucky woman!
The last few years
have been very challenging for us as small business owners, just like so many others in this TIGHT economy.
The stress of keeping it going and keeping the employees employed….. has been high.
And yet when I got this diagnosis, he didn’t even blink.
Yes we cried together, but he reassured me and held me and said all the right things.
He helps around the house, he lets me go home and rest whenever I need.
He does not mention the extra dust on our furniture.
He never complains or makes me feel bad for what I am putting us through.
He gives me hope – he makes me feel special …..he loves me…..I am so lucky.
I will enjoy spending the rest of my life showing him how special he is to me.
We work together every day for 27 years now and yet I never tire of him.
We complete each other.
I love you Tom!

Kelly, you are one of the few rare women that have a husband like Tom. As his big/little sister, 50 years ago I never would have guessed that he would turn into the man that he is. Time has certainly proved him otherwise from when we were kids. He is a rare find and you are the lucky one to have found him.
ReplyDeleteI have always admired how the two of you can work side by side during the day and then at night come home leaving work at work. Very few couples can do that. At least that is what I saw whenever I visited you.
And where you can be extremely proud is that Jace has been a witness to Tom's behavior over the years and is very likely to have the same wonderful traits. What more can a mother ask for?
Am I envious of you? Very much so. You are a very lucky woman!
